Membership of Southcrest Evangelical Church is open to any who affirm their faith in Jesus Christ the Son of God as their Lord and Saviour, who agree with our Statement of Faith and will respect our church practices.
Those who put their faith and trust in Jesus are welcomed into His family – God’s family; and in the local church we seek to make the experience of being a member of His family real and full. It is also our belief based upon the word of God, the Bible, that everyone has a role to play in the local church.
“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:27
With the immense privilege of being a member of God’s family and our local church, comes the responsibility to serve, to be committed and play your part in encouraging and supporting one another, showing hospitality and bringing others to Jesus. This means meeting regularly to share in Communion and prayer, praising God and serving Him in many ways to live out His commandments.
The ‘members’ area of this website provides information for church members and those closely associated with the church. It includes details (e.g. rotas and admin.) that may be a distraction to occasional site visitors and material that is restricted to meet the privacy policy of the church.
Opportunities are always there for members to discuss the needs, plans and activities of the church with each other, and with the church elders.
